Google Analytics 4's Enhanced Measurement Simplifies Events Management

Changes to website content often go hand in hand with the need to update analytics tags. Marketers are well familiar with this task. With the introduction of Google Analytics 4, Google introduced enhanced measurement, which has the potential to make these updates much, much easier.

With the introduction of Google Analytics GA4, Google introduced a main event tags switch in the user interface.

The sixth event feature is one I am glad to see —  site search . I covered the benefits of analyzing site searches back in a 2015 post. In the GA4 iteration, the user still provides the search query parameter that appears in the search results — in this instance the query is added within this menu.

Free Webinar | Understanding Decision-Driven Analytics

Making decisions with data too often comes down to finding a purpose for the data at hand — not finding the right data. If you want to make good decisions with data, start from the decision you need to make and then ask which data you need to make that decision.

Please join MIT SMR authors Bart de Langhe and Stefano Puntoni as they show how decision-driven data analytics results in better decision-making. They'll give examples of how data-driven often means answering the wrong question and offer steps for using data in a more effective way.

Big Data Analytics and Social Media - Business 2 Community

The increasingly digitised world has meant each and every device in our home is, or soon will be, connected to the Internet of Things (IOT). This has enabled businesses to collect data to better understand behavioral and buying patterns of customers. It also helps scientists to deal with global issues, and provides marketers with information needed for proper decision-making.

With data being neatly segregated via machine learning algorithms, social media platforms are able to allow companies to directly target individuals based on detailed specifications that go beyond race, age, gender or social standing. Marketers can increase their profits while lowering the cost of advertising, as the more people who are interested in your product or service see the advertisement, the less money is spent on advertising to individuals who are not interested.
