New legislation would legalize adult-use marijuana, using current medical storefronts to make the sales.
Sen. Jeff Brandes ‘ bill ( SB 1860 ) would allow adults, regardless of medical status, to possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower or marijuana products with up to 2 grams of THC.
"For me this is a liberty issue. We should give adult Floridians the freedom to make their own choices when it comes to cannabis," Brandes said. "It's not a matter of if, but when, Floridians will have access to adult use marijuana. This bill allows the Legislature to lead on an issue a super majority of Floridians support."

Pinball Garage gearing up for spring opening in downtown Hamilton
A Butler County business that creates virtual pinball machines is working to renovate a downtown Hamilton storefront into a place filled with games, food and drinks.
Pinball Garage, 113 North 3rd St., will feature 32 pinball machines, some brand new and some dating back to the 1970s, and eight to 10 arcade games.
Owner Brad Baker said he wants the place to be an “old school,” retro pinball bar/arcade concept with a varied selection from previous decades until today. He hopes to open the business by April.
Goldman Sachs launches Marcus mobile app
When Goldman Sachs released a long-awaited app for customers of it Marcus consumer bank last week, it did so with little fanfare or hype.
Unlike the intense attention on its last retail product, the Apple Card, the launch of the bank's Marcus app was heralded by little more than a smattering of user reviews.
But the app may prove to be far more important to Goldman than its credit-card partnership with Apple. That's because the portal, which today lets customers check balances and set up recurring transactions, will one day serve as the bank's storefront and one-stop shop for an array of digital banking services, according to Adam Dell, a Goldman Sachs partner and head of product at Marcus.

Fond du Lac's J. F. Ahern, at 140, helped build Lambeau, state capitol
FOND DU LAC - When J. F. Ahern Co. first began in 1880, it was in a simple storefront on Main Street.
Inside the business — which offered sanitary plumbing as well as hot water and steam heating — plumbing fixtures sat on shelves, and on the floor were claw-foot tubs and toilets for customers to peruse. On the windows in bold lettering were the words "D. Ahern & Son."
Now, 140 years later, the company has expanded its reach far beyond plumbing and heating, continually adapting to best meet customer needs while retaining its familial roots and values.
