90's Video Game Graphics Used In Village Of Homewood Ad Campaign | Homewood, IL Patch

HOMEWOOD, IL — Out are the avocados and in are 1990's video game graphics as a way the village of Homewood tries to attract new residents. The village released their newest marketing campaign on the CTA Blue and Pink lines in the city of Chicago at the beginning of March, Marketing Director Jennifer Quirke said.

The ads, which appear as interior railcars on the trains and as posters at platforms, bring a sense of nostalgia to the demographic the village is attempting to reach, Quirke said. They invite commuters in the city to "level up," which apparently is 1990's video game speak, and move to Homewood.

Bill Conway wants local TV stations to air campaign ad with Kim Foxx's unedited cuss word -

Cook County state's attorney candidate Bill Conway has sent local television stations a letter asking them to air his latest campaign advertisement in full without censoring Kim Foxx's use of the word "bull----."

"First she said she recused herself, then she said this is how these cases are always handled, then she launched her campaign by saying, 'I own this,' " Conway said. "Now she's saying, that's bull----. That's been the political discourse up to this point and I think the voters deserve to hear Ms. Foxx's latest position on this verbatim."

Fact Check: Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign ad featuring Obama

ORLANDO, Fla. — Is it an Obama endorsement? No, but you might not know that from one Bernie Sanders ad.

The add is airing as the Democratic race is down to just two main contenders – Sanders and Joe Biden.

During the ad, former President Barack Obama is heard saying, "Bernie is somebody that has the virtue of saying what he believes."
