Short move, a world of difference for Hunt & Lane | Cape Gazette

For the past four years, Rehoboth Beach's Hunt & Lane has been located in a Wilmington Avenue storefront. When owners Taber and Nadia Bartoshesky reopen their Indonesian-inspired furniture store for the season, they'll still have a Wilmington Avenue storefront, but it will be in a new location.

It's just a stone's throw away, but will have double the space, said Taber during an April 2 interview. The old location worked great for a first store, but a lot of the pieces the store has to offer couldn't be displayed because of space limitations, he said.

The moment Bear Epp decided to paint rainbows on storefronts in downtown Elora was the happiest she'd been in weeks.

So she got out her paint and started putting together stencils. Epp had noticed images of rainbows online as a way to boost spirits through the COVID-19 pandemic. She contacted business owners to see if they'd like a free rainbow and a specialized icon to represent their business.

The answer was an overwhelming yes. And then the requests started coming. She and a small team of volunteers have already completed about a dozen paintings and are planning to have at least 20 rainbows dotting the streetscape of Elora in the next week.

Since the coronavirus pandemic erupted, a more-temporary "board-up" mural was completed on a vacant storefront near Six Corners on the Northwest Side as a way to say thanks not only to cops and firefighters but to all who are risking their health and safety by working to provide essential services and goods.
