Walmart To Limit Customers Nationwide After Two Evergreen Park Employees Die Of COVID-19 –

Walmarts everywhere will now allow no more than five customers inside for each 1,000 square feet at any given time. That’s roughly 20% of the store’s capacity.

And now Evergreen Park is mourning the loss of the two employees — Wando Evans and Phillip Thomas.

Thomas’s sister says he worked there for nine years and was looking forward to turning 49 soon.

And he kept telling me he wasn’t feeling well. He said he called his doctor and the doctor told him to self quarantine himself a week ago, which I thought was totally wrong because he’s a diabetic as well,” she said.

Face Time: Jessika Lyn Magofna, small-town grocer getting food to customers safely | Lewiston Sun

What brought you to Future Foods? Do you enjoy your work? I grew up in Mechanic Falls, left for the military, came back and bought a house here. It’s my home town and love raising my kids here. I needed a job close to home because my kids are involved in many extra-curricular activities and needed to be close if they needed rides. I love my job, but mostly the community atmosphere. I’ve got PTS from my deployment while in the Army, so the small-town store is comforting to me.

Coronavirus: Grocery store customers tackle man after he allegedly coughed, spat on produce

KINGSTON, Mass. — A Duxbury, Massachusetts, man could face criminal charges for allegedly spitting and coughing onto produce at a Stop and Shop in Kingston. Police are still investigating what happened after bystanders tackled that customer for causing this disturbance.

"It's terrifying and no one should ever do that, even if it is a joke," said Kyle Mann , who was shopping at that Stop and Shop on Saturday.

* * *

"Especially with the CDC now recommending everyone wear face masks, someone doing this makes people more uncomfortable for people to leave their house to get necessary items," Mann said. "And it's honestly disgraceful."
