Walmart announced on Friday that it would begin implementing new social distancing measures this weekend as it seeks to protect shoppers and employees from the spread of coronavirus.
Starting Saturday, the major retailer will begin limiting customers allowed into its store to no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet of store space. Customers will then be admitted on a "1-out-1-in" basis when the store is full.

Some national retailers are beginning to limit how many shoppers can be inside their stores at once to maintain social distancing during COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
In Michigan, essential retailers like grocery stores remain open during the statewide "stay-at-home" order that's in effect through April 13. While retailers are just starting to limit occupancy, most have already begun to implement other health precautions for customers and employees.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The JEA Board of Directors on Friday approved a fuel credit for customers of the city-owned utility that will reduce the average residential electric bill by about $25.
The move comes as the economy continues to feel the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The fuel credit will kick in for JEA customers in May and will be applied directly to the bill.

Hy-Vee on Friday announced plans to install additional temporary window panels at checkout lanes. The company recently put the panels on the front side of checkout lanes to put a barrier between employees and customers. It said it now will add panels to the back sides of the lanes.
