Cape Ann TV rebrands as 1623 Studio, moves to Pleasant Street storefront - News - Wicked Local

The benefits of moving to a new location in downtown Gloucester are already evident for those involved with 1623 Studios.
Previously known as Cape Ann TV, the former local cable access channel rebranded as 1623 Studios in early 2018 to account for how rapidly modern media and it's consumption has changed in recent years.
As the creation and distribution of that media has become more accessible for everyone in recent years, it made sense that the non-profit organization that helps support and provide it locally also become more accessible, creating a catalyst for the move from Blackburn Center to a new Pleasant Street address.
Heather's Gourmet Caramel Apples to move into storefront in Springboro

After making her popular caramel apples for all of her friends, family members and students (she was a piano teacher), Ekola set up shop on the front lawn of The Cake Ladies’ bakery during Christmas in Historic Springboro. To her complete surprise, she ended up selling over 600 caramel apples. It was then (and, well, with a bit more planning), that Ekola was able to make it to this point in her career.
“I wasn’t even thinking forward,” said Ekola. “All I wanted to do was make some cash for Christmas. What happened was, after that, people found me. Requests kept coming in, and then I eventually ordered more supplies. Then I thought that I could really try this.”

Glass Cypress Renovates Invite-Only Storefront
When the Glass Cypress team began renovating their 5,000 square foot home in the suburbs of inner-city Houston , they immediately felt inclined to channel a psychedelic experience, an element which their brand of clothing is largely based on. They imagined the entrance as a funnel, one that wraps you out of the everyday dimension.
"Glass Cypress extracts the niche elements of luxury that lie deep within the crevices of American suburbia," said Samee Ahmed , Glass Cypress creative director. "A lot of times we found that those elements are deeply ethereal. It made us realize the feeling of fragile relationships amongst highly chaotic surroundings."

"It's a reality. It's a reality for people that I know today, this holiday season," said United States Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Brandon Morrison.
