Georgia Power customers to get credit – The Chatsworth Times

ATLANTA – Georgia Power on Tuesday announced that the typical residential customer using 1,000-kilowatt hours will receive an $11.29 credit on their June Georgia Power bill. This reflects implementation of a one-time $51.5 million credit for customers, approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC), as a result of Georgia Power's 2018 financial results.

Pairing the June credit with new, lower fuel rates recently announced, the typical residential customer would see a reduction of $21.55 in June.

State regulators reject CMP plan for $500,000 virus relief fund for customers - Portland Press

A proposal to have Central Maine Power Co. set up a $500,000 fund to help residential customers harmed by the coronavirus pandemic pay their electricity bills was rejected Tuesday by state regulators, who said the plan was well intended but not well targeted.

The fund, which would have been paid for by CMP shareholders, was part of a settlement reached between the utility and the Maine Public Advocate's Office regarding the way CMP notified customers about its winter disconnection practices since 2015.

In my last column, I stated that when CEOs were asked where most of their business comes from today, what would you say? Many small businesses tell us "word of mouth." I also suggested that "online" has become today's "word of mouth."

When done correctly, online marketing provides more opportunities to extend the word of mouth that's already so important to your business. As you know, business is built on relationships. Online marketing also allows you to strengthen existing relationships with current customers and build new ones. Because of this business marketing shift, I will devote a few columns on this topic.
