The campaign to re-elect President Trump pulled SpaceX, NASA and astronauts and their families into a campaign video that appeared to violate the space agency's advertising regulations .
The campaign removed the video from YouTube on Thursday evening, but not before more than 4,000 people signed a Change.org petition that sought to "Stop Donald Trump politicizing SpaceX and NASA accomplishments."
Karen L. Nyberg, a retired astronaut who is married to Mr. Hurley, posted a message on Twitter that said she and her 10-year-old son should be off limits to political campaigns.

House 88 race reaches "Critical Mass" as Sturkie releases new campaign ad
Lexington, SC– The race for the SC House District 88 seat has become as heated as any race Lexington County has seen for some time. There's been the battle of the yard signs with thousands of signs blanketing the district. As one candidate's signs got larger, another candidate would one-up that and go even bigger. Charges of vandalized or stolen signs have been leveled, a complaint that's common in most every political race.

Mailers by the dozens have filled mail boxes in the district as a few of the five candidates that are running have invested tens of thousands of dollars in an effort to become the representative for a diverse portion of Lexington County. If all the money that was invested in this race were added together, that figure could overwhelm some. It truly has reached critical mass as several of the front runners slug it out in the trenches.

The CBIA has been running several ads in the Courier the last few weeks that spotlight each of the businesses in town and the people behind those operations.

“Yes, we are getting a great response,” said Krystal Adams, the executive director of the CBIA, whose clever campaign is truly what Chemainus needs in this uncertain time to bring everyone together.
The rebound process will be difficult. Some businesses are not going to survive while others will pick up the pieces and continue on as best as they can.
Jefferson Burton violates Defense Department rules in Utah campaign ad - The Salt Lake Tribune
Jefferson Burton — the former Utah National Guard commander who now leads the Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 efforts — acknowledges his legislative campaign ran afoul of Defense Department rules that ban featuring photos of him in full uniform. He offers an unusual explanation.
"The problem my campaign manager has is there's not a picture of me not in uniform, and it's kind of a challenge," he said.
The Salt Lake Tribune raised questions whether a mailer sent by Burton in his campaign for House District 66 in southern Utah County violates a Department of Defense (DOD) directive. Burton acknowledged that it does.

Super PACs pour half-million into Nevada House primary without disclosing donors
Multiple super PACs are launching six-figure ad campaigns to influence the Republican primary in Nevada’s 3rd District — and they won't have to disclose their donors until after voters go to the polls on June 9.
Recently launched super PAC Desert Leadership Fund has spent nearly $169,000 on mailers supporting former pro wrestler Dan Rodimer over former Nevada state treasurer Dan Schwartz in what is largely a two-person race. Another group that hasn't yet disclosed its donors, Ending Spending Action Fund , spent nearly $318,000 on ads opposing Schwartz. Its new TV ad labels Schwartz "swampy" and calls attention to his criticisms of President Donald Trump .
