ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A campaign by the State of Illinois hopes to improve trust among minority communities in the COVID-19 vaccine.
Gov. JB Pritzker said Friday the campaign will target people in communities hit hardest by the virus, and residents in a group he called the “Moveable Middle,” those who want to protect their health but are hesitant to receive the vaccine.

“Vaccine hesitancy is real, and misinformation is rampant, especially on social media. After a year of staying socially distant and staying safe, what a relief it will be to get vaccinated so you can be protected from this virus,” Pritzker said.
Labor Union Releases Ad Campaign for Nursing Home Reforms
The ad released by the union, which has served as a key ally for Cuomo over the last decade, credited the governor and state lawmakers for backing reform plans.
Democrats in the state Senate this week approved a package of measures to address the issue; Assembly Democrats are expected to take up their own changes.

Orlando launches first tourism ad campaign since pandemic
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Tourism officials in Orlando are launching their first full-scale marketing campaign since the pandemic, and it's aimed at tourists located within driving distance in the southeast U.S.
The campaign, called "The Wonder Remains," includes TV ads, YouTube videos, digital ads, social media ads, e-newsletters and website content.
"It's critical that we connect with audiences that are currently making travel plans to ensure our share of the market and showcase the innovative safety measures implemented throughout Orlando," said Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando.

NEW YORK — A public service ad campaign unveiled Thursday aims to convince Americans to get vaccinated against COVID-19, telling them "It's Up to You."
The campaign by the Ad Council and its partners is focused on those who may be hesitant to get the shots. One print ad reads: "Getting back to hugs starts with getting informed," and directs readers to a website with information about vaccines in seven languages.
"Our goal is to move them from being hesitant to being confident" in vaccines, said Lisa Sherman, the Ad Council's president.
