Google Pixel ad series pairs switching with random activities - 9to5Google

Midway through March, Made by Google started the “Switch to the New Google Pixel” ad campaign. These videos posted to YouTube range from two to five minutes, and match the process of setting up a new Pixel (from your old phone) with a random activity.

It's filled with scenic stock footage, calming sounds, and a very chill narrator. At a high level, you're guided through basic steps like inserting your SIM card, turning on the Pixel, and connecting it (via USB-C or Lightning) to the phone you're replacing.

Man brings his battle to Detroit to open Canada-U.S. border

Until last year, Adams was just an average fella. But then he took on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with a TV spot repeatedly demanding DeSantis lift a ban on Florida vacation rentals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adams, who owned three Florida rentals that were losing tens of thousands of dollars in revenue because of the ban, believes he won when DeSantis lifted the ban soon after the ads started to air. So now he is taking aim at bigger targets: President Joe Biden and Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Gillette's latest ad addresses pubic hair in song

At this point in human history, we’ve seen just about every animal and object turned into an animated character: cats, dogs, sponges, hot dogs, toothbrushes, and any toy you can think of. With its new ad campaign, Gillette Venus may just have scored a first.

To mark the launch of its Venus for Pubic Hair & Skin collection, the brand created an animated spot featuring a show-tune-singing pubic hair.

The anthropomorphized hair belts out a song about the trials and tribulations of being a hair from down there. “I’m just a pube, and it’s not fair, all I ever wished to be was just another hair. But when they got one look at me, the ruling from society was, ‘ew, not you.'”

With calls for fresh COVID vaccine ads, what can we learn from past campaigns? - ABC News

Public health experts are calling for an urgent rethink of the public awareness campaign connected to Australia's coronavirus vaccine rollout.

Some are looking towards the effectiveness of the country's infamous HIV/AIDS Grim Reaper campaign from the 1980s.

But not everyone's convinced. The peak support body for people with HIV said the Grim Reaper campaign marginalised the LGBT community.

And with reports of more than a million doses being left unused dominating news headlines in recent days, there have been calls for a more effective awareness campaign to ensure Australians get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
