Shopify has produced a lot of wealth, turning former employees into founders and investors

Last month, Jean-Michel Lemieux, the chief technology officer of Shopify , and the company’s chief talent officer, Brittany Forsyth, both announced that they are stepping down from their roles. Chief legal officer Joe Frasca is also set to leave the e-commerce giant, with all three ending their tenures next month. In their next chapters, all seem keen to advise, invest in or even launch startups, joining a growing number of former Shopify executives and employees to do the same.

autoRetouch Expands A.I.

As physical retailers turn to digital solutions to speed up the product photography production workflow, editors and photographers are leaning into artificial intelligence to help with the non-creative editing of product images. Unfortunately, editing software has advanced only so much — all commercial image editing software currently available are still mostly built around individualized image-by-image workflows and cannot process multiple images at once.

A standard, non-creative product image edit for example can take 5-15 minutes, from background removal to basic skin retouching for any photograph featuring e.g. human models showcasing apparel products.

Will Weakness in Shopify Inc.'s (NYSE:SHOP) Stock Prove Temporary Given Strong Fundamentals?

Return on Equity or ROE is a test of how effectively a company is growing its value and managing investors' money. In simpler terms, it measures the profitability of a company in relation to shareholder's equity.

The 'return' is the amount earned after tax over the last twelve months. Another way to think of that is that for every $1 worth of equity, the company was able to earn $0.18 in profit.
