Facebook and Signal are fighting over an ad campaign. Here’s why

Facebook , the world's largest social media platform, found itself in a public dispute with communications app Signal this week over an ad campaign.

The encrypted messaging service — a non-profit that rivals Facebook-owned WhatsApp — said in a blog on Tuesday that Facebook had blocked one of its ad campaigns on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook.

The campaign was designed to show Instagram users the amount of data that Instagram and parent firm Facebook collect on users.

In a new public service campaign, cast members of "Sesame Street" explain why adults are getting vaccinated with a simple idea: Getting vaccinated means sunnier days are ahead.

"Our children and families want us to be healthy," Louie, Elmo's dad, says in one video . "That's why I and lots of other grown-ups got the Covid-19 vaccine, so we can stay healthy and get back to the moments we miss, like seeing our friends and family."

Over the course of the pandemic, "Sesame Street" has produced public health segments for children on the importance of hand washing and social distancing with Grover, mask wearing with Oscar the Grouch , and going back to school with Elmo .

The Recorder - Greenfield Savings Bank ad campaign boosts local restaurants

GREENFIELD — The restaurant industry was disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the often crippling restrictions put in place to help curb the spread of the virus, not to mention the enormous reduction in customers' income when the economy nearly came to a halt.

Many fast food establishments and chain eateries have the corporate structure to sustain a few major blows, but locally owned places are usually not as lucky. So the management team at Greenfield Savings Bank, most notably President and CEO John Howland, decided to do something to try to boost business at restaurants in Franklin and Hampshire counties without costing a dime to the eateries.

Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl Helps Sell Ram 1500 In New Ad Campaign

The first two spots, "Rock Star" and "Overtime," focus on parents, family caregivers, coaches, and teachers helping kids overcome their struggles, with a heavy presence of the Ram 1500, of course. The band's music is also included in the ad campaign, featuring the opening song "Making a Fire" from its 2020 "Medicine at Midnight" album.

The Foo Fighters is a shift away from the country music artists the brand has previously worked with, though Ram isn't abandoning the genre for rock. Stellantis' Global Chief Marketing Officer Olivier Francois told Variety that this was an opportunity to expand Ram's reach to its target customer. The company's used a third-party tool to discover that the Foo Fighters resonated well with truck buyers, outperforming the best-known country artists.

Manchin, Sinema Urged Preserve Filibuster in New Election Integrity Group Ad Campaign | National

The Election Transparency Initiative, a group formed to combat congressional Democrats’ election law proposals, announced a new ad campaign on Wednesday urging three Democratic senators to keep the Senate filibuster.

The six-figure digital ad campaign is directed at Senators Jon Tester of Montana, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, and Joe Manchin of West Virginia. All three senators have expressed opposition to abandoning the filibuster, although progressive Democrats have called for its removal.

The friendship between Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg is the gift that keeps on giving, and the two stars have teamed up once again to help BIC launch its EZ Reach lighter. The lighter is extra-long and designed to light difficult-to-reach spaces while keeping your fingers away from the flame, and Snoop Dogg told PEOPLE that he and Stewart were both fans of the design.

Stewart shared a few behind-the-scenes snaps from the commercial shoot on Instagram in March. "Always fun working with my man @snoopdogg," she wrote. "This time on an @biclighter ez reach lighter commercial and other business. Both snoop and I have designed wonderful new lighters for BIC on sale in May 2021."

Hawaii soldier featured in Army's new anime recruiting campaign

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The US Army is now using animation to reach Generation Z youth who have been raised on the internet and social media.

He's featured in one of the short animated films that reveal the struggles and triumphs of young soldiers who answered the call to service.

"They are awe-inspiring," he said. "When you see a helicopter flying, you can't help but look. I remember being a child and one of my neighbors was a pilot."
