With the weather warming, outdoor mask restrictions loosened, and the fog of a year spent mostly indoors finally lifting, it's an ideal time to take up bike riding. If you can find one to buy, that is.
A shortage of bicycles that began more than a year ago shows no signs of abating this spring, as retailers contend with ongoing global supply and shipping disruptions amid a relentless surge in demand from cooped-up consumers eager to enjoy the great outdoors.
TV shopping tip: Wait until fall (at least) to get the best price - CNET
So when is the best time to buy a new TV? It's not as easy to say "when it's cheapest" because that's often when new models are right around the corner. Plus, the cheapest TV might not be the best value . Let's dig a bit deeper.
Forget all the new tech. If your TV works and you're happy with it, keep it. Don't feel any pressure to upgrade.
If your TV is having issues, or you just want something larger, that's a different story. New TVs are much cheaper per inch than TVs of the past. You'll be able to replace your current TV with something the same size, looks better and is cheaper than your old TV. Or you can pay the same amount as your old TV and get something that's far bigger.

Shopping small makes a big impact
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, when you spend $100 at a small business, $48 stays in the community. Spend the same $100 at a big-box store or national retailer and only $14 stays.
Shopping locally requires more thought. Supporting small businesses is an intentional act — one that the mom and pop shops in your neighborhood desperately need you to make.
